Painting in a joyful and exuberant manner, Sally Anne Fitter’s beautiful paintings clearly reflect her design background and extensive understanding of visual appeal.
Graduating from the Bristol School of Art with a First Class Honours Degree in Textile Design and Chelsea School of Art in Ceramics. Sally Anne enjoyed a career teaching art and ceramics at a boy’s school in London going on to establish her own highly successful design studio in Clerkenwell, London. Her designs sold worldwide to clients including Liberty of London and Ralph Lauren, New York.
In 2003 Sally Anne turned professionally to painting and now works from her studio on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. Her paintings are exhibited throughout the UK.
Her textile and ceramic training is evident in the exciting combination of surface texture and pattern; her imaginative colour palette and boldly designed compositions. Sally Anne incorporates ‘gold’ and ‘silver’ leaf, and elements of collage into her work to add a third dimension of luminosity, texture and vibrancy.
These prints have been carefully developed by Aquarelle Publishing to preserve the richness and texture of the original paintings. Each print within the edition has carefully hand applied ‘gold’ leaf, making each one unique.
